For the Bad Buddhas
Serenely free, unbound by rules,
they pick and choose, or choose and pick,
and then take what comes–
just don’t think this means
that “All is permitted.”
Manifesting true nature,
their compassion is crazy wisdom–
to save beings from delusion, they delude themselves,
and meditate backwards, wearing masks
and talking to trees.
Drinking poison, they vomit up their confusions
and bless the world; they sing and dance
to turn the Wheel of the Law.
